The N1 easy to use, thanks to five configurable buttons and a capacitive 4.7" HD display with 10-point touch and 500 nits of brightness. Operate it with a bare finger as well as with gloves or an optional stylus (passive) - even when wet. The mobile computer also features an ergonomically integrated 1D/2D barcode scanner and an 8 megapixel camera with a bright LED light on the back and a 5 megapixel front camera with 1,920 x 1,080 pixel image resolution (full HD).

The rest of the N1's top equipment is hidden beneath the slim 74 x 156 x 16.3 mm (W x D x H) housing. These include a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm SDM660-2 octa-core processor, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB eMMC and a microSD card slot. The powerful 3,200 mAh lithium-ion battery provides plenty of power for the entire workday. It offers a runtime of up to 12 hours and may be replaced during operation, thanks to its warm-swap function. An enhanced 6,400 mAh lithium-ion battery with a runtime of up to 19 hours is also optionally available.

The excellent data transfer and high connectivity of the N1 is ensured by the mostly wireless interfaces micro USB 2.0, Bluetooth 5.0, WLAN 802.11ac/d/h/i/k/r/v/w, 4G LTE with phone functions, GPS and NFC.
