I am looking forward to 2023. I hope it will be a little easier than 2022. All in all, 2022 was good. Despite the many challenges, Jarltech increased its order intake by an even 10% to approximately 825 million euros. We added some promising new manufacturers to our product range, hired more employees and apprentices and rented new space in addition to our campus. We are also proud of the fact that we are now climate neutral. But of course, we can still do better. Furthermore, we have massively strengthened our management team, ended the COVID measures, continued to offer vaccinations to our staff and were at trade fairs again for the first time. Our two food trucks travelled across Europe, and we finally had Jarltech Networking Dinners again, a summer party and many nice smaller events in our newly opened event hall as well as locally with customers and manufacturers in many European countries.
The only thing that was really annoying in 2022 were the delivery bottlenecks. Suddenly, our inventory swelled because parts for deliveries simply didn't fit together anymore. Fortunately, this situation has now largely been overcome and our ability to deliver is now back to its usual excellent level.
This year I am also looking forward to finally visiting our offices in Europe again, taking on brand new product branches and celebrating many festivals.

I am proud of my team! This time I don’t mean the team from Jarltech, but the team from our restaurant »Uwe & Uli – Zuhause bei uns«. The gastronomic guide »Frankfurt geht aus« from the Journal Frankfurt and the Genussakademie awarded us first place in the category »Rhein-Main – feine Küche (exquisite cuisine)«.
We are delighted to have opened our burger joint »Uwe & Uli – Nebenan bei Freunden« today. The goal is to create a lower-priced offering in Usingen alongside our fine dining restaurant. And apart from that: we just wanted to open a burger place.
It had to be done: We have a new webshop. Completely self-built and with a functioning search function, and it’s also much prettier. However, the reactions were split: some of the customers cheered us, others wanted the old shop back.
