As a former part of the Samsung Group, Bixolon stands for highest production quality possible and competent research and development. To form an independent company for production and marketing of the POS printers, Samsung supported the founding of Bixolon in 2003 after 10 years being its cash desk and POS printer division. During this process, the knowledge about all Samsung printer models was directly transferred to Bixolon. The founding members of Bixolon were all former Samsung employees. Therefore, the know-how from Samsung in development and marketing became the basis of this new enterprise. As a result, the previous printer models were all reworked and improved and new models are added continuously.

Bixolon has also shown its own great ideas and creativity when it came to development: Additional products and product ranges have been created and existing products have been reworked and upgraded. There is for instance the SRP-500 ink-jet model, which has a very low TCO. Another new product is the STP-103 – an incredibly compact but reasonable cash desk printer for narrower thermal receipts.
